WRINKLE RELAXERS AND FACIAL FILLERS

Aging is a combination of loss of total facial volume and increasing skin laxity. Wrinkle relaxers and facial fillers can restore volume, lifting and smoothing areas that are starting to sag or can be used to  prevent wrinkles from forming.

Dermal fillers are commonly used to rejeuvenate lips and cheeks. They may also be used to fill out already existing wrinkles. However, they should not just be placed in generic areas, rather the clinician should identify specifically where each patient has lost volume or has naturally occurring asymmetry or volume deficiency for customized treatment. They may also be used to fill out already existing wrinkles.

Wrinkle relaxants prevent movement of the muscles which over time have caused wrinkles to form. This is done by precisely injecting anti-wrinkle injections into the area in order to target the muscle.

Popular areas for treatment include:

Crow’s feet

Between the brows (frown lines)

Nasolabial folds

Fine lines under or surrounding the eyes

Forehead wrinkles
